Our Foundation Story
I am Timur Yilmaz. Years ago, the creatures (cats, dogs, pelicans, storks, whatever you can think of) wandering the streets and fields looking for their sustenance started to hurt me and one day on the D200 highway, 5 dogs lay under the vehicles on the opposite side of the road for about 300 meters, playing in front of my eyes, although they were very weak and neglected, and I was shocked. It was a moment I will never forget until I die. Then, thinking that they deserved a better life, I decided to gradually create a habitat where they would not starve and live their lives at least full. Finally, I started to protect them slowly in the 2.km of Gölyazı mh road (in the old football field), which belongs to the state. In 12 months of 2021, I undertook the founding chairmanship of Gölyazı Natural Life Forms Protection Association.

Our Aims and Objectives
Our shelter, which is a compassionate home for more than 1500 stray animals, works to ensure that our dear friends live in a healthy, safe and loving environment. Our main goals are as follows:
Providing a Safe Habitat for Stray Animals
Our shelter aims to be a safe harbor for abandoned, sick or injured animals. We meet the basic needs of each animal and treat them with love and respect.
Health Services and Rehabilitation
We aim to improve the physical and mental health of animals through veterinary checks, vaccination, sterilization and treatment services. Our aim is to re-adopt or return every recovered animal to its natural habitat in an appropriate way.
Foster Family Activities
One of our top priorities is to bring together loving families and stray animals and provide them with permanent homes. By acting meticulously in the adoption processes, we aim to ensure that both animals and families maintain a happy union.
Social Awareness and Education
We organize educational programs, seminars and social media campaigns to raise public awareness about animal rights. Our aim is to create a society that is sensitive and responsible towards stray animals.
Sustainable Support Models
We are developing a volunteering system, donation campaigns and sponsorship programs to sustain the activities of our shelter. We aim to give hope to more lives with the support of animal lovers.
We believe that changing one life is changing the world. By joining this journey, you can be a beacon of hope for stray animals.
“Are you willing to be their voice?”

Board of Directors

Timur YILMAZ / Founding President of the Association
I was born in 1977, after finishing my secondary education, I started working as a jeweler's apprentice in the covered bazaar. It took about 11 years, I returned to Gölyazıköy, where I was born in 2004-2005. I started to make a living by doing aquaculture and fishing, boat tours and camping activities in Gölyazi and started to allocate a large part of my earnings to needy creatures. Living creatures (cats - dogs - pelicans, storks, etc.) wandering helplessly on the streets and fields looking for their sustenance (cat - dog - pelican storks, etc.) began to hurt my heart and I decided to create a living space where they would not starve and spend their lives at least full.etc.) started to hurt me and thinking that they deserved a better life, I decided to gradually create a habitat where they would not starve and spend their lives at least full. Finally, I started to protect them slowly in the area (on the old football field) on the 2nd kilometer of Gölyazı village road, which belongs to the state. In 12 months of 2021, I assumed the founding chairmanship of Gölyazı Natural Life Forms Protection Association.

Aydın TEMEL / Board of Directors
My name is Aydın Temel, I am 56 years old. I live with my dog. In the past, I worked as a senior manager in big holdings, in sales and marketing. I am now retired and I also work as a consultant in sales and marketing. I met Gölyazı the day I went to help the volunteers when they went to feed the animals. I think I am already a good animal lover. When I saw the animals in the area, I decided to do whatever I could for them. I think I will continue to fight for them until I die, no matter what the conditions are.
